You would be hard pressed to find a horse with more heart and drive than this big love. Tex is one of those rare horses that is eager and willing to do anything that is asked of him. He loves hard work and won’t give up or check out when a lot of others would. Tex has been there and done that. He is ready to haul on barrels and poles, he has doctored cattle out in the pasture and is strong at the horn, he will ride anywhere with confidence, and he WANTS to work and please. Tex is one of those rare horse that can be turned out and not touched for months and still pick up and ride off like he never missed a day. That’s really saying something for me since I’m cutting down due to four bulging disks and a torn rotator cuff. I never have to worry because he has never offered one wrong move in the two years that I have owned him. I have started colts off of him and he keeps his cool and won’t get you in a bind when babies are acting up. Tex can be ridden bareback and bridleless and has a nice handle; roll back, side pass, open gates, counter arc, flying lead change, and a good stop. He would be the perfect candidate for the wife to run barrels on, husband to rope on, and experienced kids to just have an outstanding horse to grow up with. Tex is good for the farrier and has hard black feet and is kept barefoot even on all of our rock. He is sure footed and has been up and across some very rough terrain. He will cross bridges, go through water (has been swam also), and can go all day. I really love this big guy and a good home is a MUST! The video footage is from spring of 2018 so he has a lot more to show these days. I’d be glad to get you updated videos on anything you’d like. Pictures are all recent. Update on 1/25/19 - Tex has been roping the hot heels both head and heel and will be put on live cattle soon. I have also started giving lessons on him and he has been very quiet and forgiving of mistakes. The last picture included was from about a 5 mile hike to the top of a mountain.
