Description:
We currently have a opening on our cow/calf unit. Job would be considered half cowboy work and half ranch work. We do nearly all of our cattle work horseback and are dog friendly. The only exceptions to that being there is a need from time to time to tuck something in with a machine, and dogs work correctly or they stay home.



An individual can expect typical cowboy skills you would need to be comfortable with or willing to learn to be...riding,roping and doctoring (sometimes alone),calving heifers/cows(sometimes alone), pairing out, moving young pairs, general livestock handling, shoeing horses, a general knowledge of antibiotics and vaccines, keeping up with salt/mineral, checking water and forage, etc. All obvious day to day cowboy tasks.



An individual would also need to be able to perform the following ranch skills..maintaining fence and water systems, operating equipment with respect, general facilities up keep, light irrigation work, etc. Hay work is currently done by custom outside contract. Again all obvious ranch type day to day tasks.
