Trooper is as friendly as they come, very in your pocket and loves attention. He is one of the best mountain horses I have been on in a long time. He has been rode in very diverse terrain and handles it all great. He was just recently ridden in the Teton National Park through the Teton mountain range. Has approached Bear, Moose, Elk, Deer and tourists with no hesitation or problems. Trooper will lead the way or go out by himself, but he really enjoys following while his rider enjoys their ride. He is stump and mounting block broke. He has been next to shooting ranges and has no problem. Used in the Sheriffs Posse He not only likes the trails, but likes to run barrels as well. He is more of a push style and has a very smooth turn that is easy to ride. I have not personally clocked him yet, but he loves the barrels and has a good pattern. He has a lot of cow in him and loves cow work. He is very light mouthed, Loves a snaffle!Enjoys a hack and a bosal as well, but can pack a short shanked bit as well. Trooper has been hauled all over and handles it like a champ, eats and drinks on the road. He has been hauled and rode around Rodeos and Jackpots. He Hauls, Bathes, Clips and Ties great.
