Description:
Mac is a gentle giant, giant being a keyword. He is 16.1 hands and weighs 1250#. We have had him since he was a yearling. Mac was such a big horse, we didn’t want to push him too hard too fast. He has been brought along the right way making him get his feet underneath him and move like a small horse. We personally have put all the time and training into him. Mac has a solid foundation. He can transition from walk to jog to trot to slow lope to fast lope and back down. He responds and moves on all 3 parts of his body, shoulder, ribcage and hip. He can sidepass and just moves nicely off leg pressure. Mac has been used extensively in sale barns sorting cattle, opening and closing gates. He has been used to gather cattle in the open. We have drug calves off of him as well. He can handle some pretty big calves. We have headed a few slow steers on him in the arena before, but not frequently. He has 4 solid black feet that stay in easy keeping condition. Mac has a very kind eye and easy going disposition. You can walk up to him anywhere and catch him. He has very nice ground manners. He stands tied or looped by a rein. Loads and unloads easily. Just an easy going horse. Mac has a big motor and a long stride and can cover some ground. We have never "opened" him up, but I can feel this guy has some speed to him. He is aggressive with cattle too. Loves to have a job. Ready to make someone a great using horse.

Mac was bred by Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses. His sire is a 96% foundation bred stallion with Poco Pine, Continental King by King P-234, Joe Reed II and Whiskey Bert all on his papers. JK Jay Reed has King P-234 fairly close up and goes back to him six times. Mac’s dam is VG Docs Peppy Rose whose paternal grandsire was Docs Flying Bar and he stood at Texas A&M University. Through him, she still has Doc Bar on her papers and Jet Smooth and Mr San Peppy just off her papers. Her bottomside may not have great names close up, but she is still a very well bred mare. Her bottom goes back to Skipper W, Three Bars, Gold Mount, Ed Echols, Oklahoma Star, Joe Reed II, Piggin String, Flying Bob, and even Man O’War to name a few. Big Sonsation was a great-grandson of King. This colt has a strong dose of Joe Reed II and goes to King P-234 seven times.
