Description:
Progressive registered cow herd located in the Flint Hills of Kansas is seeking a ranch hand. Applicants must have experience with cattle, have their own ranch oriented horses, and have the ability to operate machinery used in haying and fencing. Work hours are long during spring calving, AI seasons and run seven days a week at those times. You must be honest, reliable and able to work with our customers. You will learn all aspects of a cow/calf herd from calving, breeding, AI, vaccination protocols to marketing. This is a family owned and managed ranch in the beautiful Flinthills of Kansas. You will not become a manager here, but will be very qualified when you are ready for the next step in your career. We provide a house, small barn and 2 car garage with office space. There are two school districts in the area. Families are welcome, but the job is for one employee. The desire for physical work and the ability to lift 150 pounds is required.
