I bought "Rascal" when he was a 10 year old and my whole family rode him! When a friend of mine needed a safe, honest and quiet family horse I sold him to her and just got him back last year when she could no longer keep her horses. This is a VERY SPECIAL GELDING who still looks like he is 10 years old! Do not let his age scare you away! He is sound and does not require anything special at all! It is not possible to buy a 5 year old horse who has seen everything Rascal has! If you want a BEEN THERE DONE THAT, SEEN THAT trail horse this is your guy! Not spooky, doesn’t get fresh, goes up, down, over, under ANYTHING on the trail and quite often he has to be the first one because the other horses won’t do it! Rascal has fantastic ground manners, easy to catch anywhere, gets along well with other horses, loads in any trailer, stands quietly tied, saddle and just get on and go. He will keep you SAFE! No worry about trying to season a young horse! Give him 6 months off over the winter? Just pull him out, get on and go! Great husband horse also. He is very quiet minded and never gets hot but he is not a dead head either, he is responsive. He has been around cattle his whole life, been to the mountains, ridden in steep country a lot, through the water and brush in the river, etc. No vices and he has really nice feet with clean legs and big bone.



My mom has been riding him on a regular basis so he is located in Atascadero, CALIFORNIA. Shipping is not a problem if needed, or if you are closer to California you won’t have to worry about the shipping from Texas! Anyone is welcome to go see him in person and ride him!
