Description:
This is a neat old wide cheek tooled bridle, old bit and curb strap probably from the 1930’s or 1940’s. There is no maker mark on either the bridle or the bit. It is unusual to have such a wide buckle strap. The brass buckles are 1 ¼”. It is also harder to find the one ear headstalls. Most of them were browbands. The leather on the headstall is in good condition and is flexible but does show signs of age. It is all original except for the tie strings. The cheek pieces are 2 ½”” at the widest at the bit ends. It has four copper slotted conchos and two big brass conchos at the bit ends. The name TEX is written inside one of the cheeks. This would make a nice old bridle to display with your collection. We are selling this for display only since vintage leather does not hold up well to wear.
