“Captain” is a 12 year old AQHA reg. bay gelding standing 15.1hh. He has done it all - extensive ranch work, hauled to ranch rodeos and used in the penning and sorting, ridden down the trails for miles and miles, etc. Has been rode out on big ranches all over all sorts of rough terrain and is wiling to go do any job that you put in front of him. He has lots of hours working outside roping, tying down calves and has sorted in the feedlots. Has roped cattle outside all day long, and has done some roping out of the box as well, would not take much to finish him on the heel side. Has a lot of handle, lopes right off, rolls back, turns around both ways, swaps his leads, stops hard, backs up well, goes around on a loose rein... they don’t come much nicer than him. This gorgeous bay gelding is extremely versatile and is a very handy horse to have around! He travels extremely smooth, has a neck rein some people dream about. “Captain” rides out fine alone or is just as content riding in a group. He stands to be saddled and waits for you to get on. This gelding is solid and wants to do his job the right way everytime. He isn’t scared of barking dogs, traffic, etc. and will go exactly where you point him, they don’t come much easier to ride than that. He is sound, and built to last! Horses like this are worth their weight in gold and aren’t easy to find anymore!
