She was ridden in the feedlot as a 4 year old and has been used during calving and to gather pastures this spring on the ranch; she will go all day and is tough as nails. Dixie rides around nicely, moves off leg pressure, will watch a cow and has a nice soft lope. Has never been to town or really ever “used” in the arena just out in the open. She can be a little watchy and is not one to fall asleep but she is not a bronc; she does not have a mean bone in her body. Dixie would make a nice head horse or barrel horse prospect. She was raised in Kansas by Dr. Thomas Jensen and was purchased as a baby from Dr. Jensen by some friends of ours, they started her. We then purchased her from our friends to use her in the feedlot and have owned her since she was four. We have never tried to breed her therefore she has had no foals. She would do best some where she has a job or with someone who knows a thing or two about horses. We really do not want her potential as a performance horse to go to waste however If nothing materializes by the 1st of June we will be keeping her back for a broodmare as we like her just the way she is.
