Description:
This is a used handmade correction port bit made by Mike Gillespie. The bit is marked MRG and numbered 45. Mike is a bit and spur maker from Stephenville, Texas. He is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Gretchen & Mike Graham. Mike is taking a break from bit making and is no longer accepting orders. All of his bits are handmade with no import or cast parts. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with nickel silver. There are marks on the mountings from use. There are inlaid copper stripes on the back of the bars. This would be a nice bit to use or add to a collection.
