Description:
This is a used solid shank curb bit made by well-known maker Kerry Kelley. Kerry is from Weatherford, Texas and has been building bits and spurs since 1997. The bit is marked Kerry on one side of the port and Kelley on the other side of the port. This is an early bit based on the maker mark. Kerry is listed in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned & Jody Martin. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with nickel silver flower and leaves with copper dots in the center of the flowers. Copper is overlaid on the back of the mouth piece bars. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use.

Measurements: Cheek Pieces a little less than 7 ˝”, Mouth (between cheeks) 5 ⅛”, Port Height (from top of port to bottom of bars) 2”, Bars Diameter a little less than ˝”, Bit Weight 15.6 ounces
