Description:
Big John is a 14 year old Belgian gelding standing at 16.3 hands. He is puppy dog gentle both on the ground and on his back. He is the one you can pull up fresh from the pasture at any time and put anyone on. He is easy to catch, easy to handle, and has a sweet nature. Any level or age of rider can climb aboard and ride him. He has a heart of gold and is truly as close as a horse can get to the definition of the term bombproof. He also drives and works both single and double. When riding he is slow and gentle but will move out to a trot and lope when asked in larger spaces or out on the trail. He does not neck rein as he is broke to drive as well as ride, but does have a soft mouth and a good stop. He is not spooky and does very well when exposed to new things. He has just recently been trimmed and is fantastic with his feet. Has also had his teeth floated recently. He does not have any maintenance requirements or special care needs however he is a little on the thin side but has been steadily gaining weight here nicely.
