Mr. Ford’s work is getting more in demand by both horsemen and collectors as time passes. The 4 3/4” short shanks excluding rein rings plus the life saver mouth-piece make it an ideal transition bit from a ring snaffle to a shank bit. Used just enough to acquire that great “Cowboy Patina” plus its finely engraved silver and copper mountings is mighty easy to look at. Maker marked R.F.
