Description:
This is a pair of used Fleming spurs overlaid and inlaid with sterling silver. The spurs are marked Fleming inside the heel bands and Mexico under the offside hanger. Fleming is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Gretchen and Mike Graham. Fleming Bits and Spurs was a partnership between Willard Thomas and Richard Fleming and they were located in Bakersfield, California. They were known for excellent workmanship and sought after by collectors. These spurs are steel and were originally blued and have started to rust. They are single mounted with engraved sterling silver conchos and inlaid sterling silver between the conchos. There are some marks on the mountings from use and some play in the rowels but not a lot. This would be a nice pair of spurs to add to a collection or to wear.

Measurements: Heel Band Width at center ¾”, Shanks (measured from heel band to end of shank) 2”, Rowel Diameter a little less than 1 ½”, Rowel Points 14, Heel Opening 3 ⅜”, Weight of Both Spurs 1lb 2.8oz
