Description:
J&J Cattle Company is a family owned preconditioning operation in Bryan, Texas. We are looking for help with all aspects of a stocker cattle / backgrounding operation. Responsibilities include identifying and treating sick cattle, feeding, processing cattle, as well as regular upkeep of facilities and equipment. We precondition a large number of high risk sale barn calves year round so some general cattle knowledge and handling is needed. We do use four wheelers extensively as they fit our operation better than horses. All cattle are doctored either with dart guns or in the squeeze chute. We have good facilities and equipment as well as an excellent team of employees which helps to make things run smooth. We are looking for someone who desires a long term opportunity and has a passion for the cattle business. We will provide on the job training to the right person who has the desire to learn. This is not a dead end job and has plenty of opportunities for advancement and growth to dedicated individuals.
