Howdy

Im looking for a position on a ranch preferably involving work with horses, although Im open to any sort of offers. I learned to drive my first tractor at 6 and Ive been hooked on the lifestyle, work and community of farming and ranching ever since. I currently live in WA state but looking to relocate to wherever the best opportunity may be. I take a lot of pride in my work and I’m eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible, so somewhere family/community orientated with folks who feel the same is certainly ideal.



Im from southeat GA where I started learning the ins and outs of the industry, raising horses, cattle, hogs, goats and chickens. I live now on a farm in Rainier where I maintain the 5 acres of land and the animals that reside on it (horses, chickens and dogs.) I also spend a good deal of time on a dairy farm, working cattle and whatever other chores need to be done. Sustainable gardening is also a huge passion of mine.



I have experience with a variety of different farm equipment/tractors and I can easily learn any that I haven’t had experience with. I’m good with mechanics and always looking to learn more.



Experience with husbandry, calving, milking and herding on both horseback and atv



Plenty of experience on horseback and trailriding, I ride almost every day.



My time, when away from the farm, is spent trail running/racing and rock climbing so Im capable of a long days work and heavy lifting when necessary.



I do have a cattle dog that would be coming with me, her name is Dolly Parton and she is a well trained farm dog (familiar with horses and other farm animals, obeys commands) I’ve never had any need to put her on a leash as she usually don’t stray from my side.
