If you are looking for a safe, honest, dependable family horse that you can trust to take care of the kids and grandkids, then take a look at Easter. He has been there, done that, and is about as solid as they come. Easter has been ridden by children, beginners, elderly riders, and he is the same horse every time you ride him, whether it is once a week or once a month. He is a 20 year old mustang gelding, but don’t let his age fool you. Easter is sound, healthy, and has plenty of life left and gas in the tank. He has an amazing personality, is very friendly, and loves to be ridden. He is a stout 14.3hh, nicely built with a big foot and plenty of bone. Easter is pretty fancy broke with a good one handed neck rein, an excellent stop and reverse, and he will sidepass, and work a gate. He rides quietly on a loose rein, content to walk quietly all day long if you prefer but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. Easter has been used on the ranch, ridden on trails, has sorted and penned cattle, and has also carried a flag in the grand entries. He is very sure footed and careful about where he places his feet, always taking care to ensure his riders safety. Easter is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has no bad habits and will not take advantage of his rider, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Easter has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is a perfect trail horse but would also make a wonderful playday horse or sorting horse. Easter has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, gets along great with other horses, will load in any type of trailer you ask him to, and saddles and bridles easily.
