Description:
This is a new handmade snaffle bit made by bit and spur maker Dan McCloy from Fort Sumner, New Mexico. The bit is marked McCloy and numbered 249. Dan has been building for around fourteen years and moved from Dalhart, Texas to Fort Sumner in 2007. Dan lives on a ranch and is a part time bit and spur maker and also day works. Dan does really nice work. Both his steel and silver work is really clean. This bit is polished steel and is mounted with six pieces of engraved nickel silver. This would be a nice bit to use.

Measurements: Cheek Pieces 4 ⅞”, Mouth (between cheeks) 5 ¼”, Mouth (between collars) 5”, Bars Diameter 5/16”, Weight 9.8 ounces
