Description:
This is a really nice handmade headstall with two Biggs Bird Buckles and two Biggs Bird conchos. Biggs Bird is from Fort Worth, Texas and has been building since 1994 and learned from his grandfather well known bit and spur maker RA Glenn. Biggs is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles and Spurs by Gretchen and Mike Graham. Both buckles and conchos are marked with his maker mark. They are steel and are mounted with nickel silver. The flowers have copper centers. The headstall was made by Brandon House from Elm City, North Carolina. It is marked with his maker stamp Rafter 2H Leather. It is made out of skirting leather rough side out and is lined with latigo and stitched around the outside edges. The edges are beveled and hand rubbed. The buckles are attached with copper rivets. It does not look like the headstall has been on a horse but had a bit hanging from it. This would be a really nice headstall to use.

Measurements: Headstall Length 38” to 46”, Buckle Strap Width ⅝”, Leather Thickness ¼”, Leather weight of both layers 15 to 16 ounce, Concho Diameter 1”
