Offered for Bid at the Hermanson/Kist Fall Sale Sat. September 30, at 8:00 a.m. Maverick is a 7 year old bay roan gelding. He stands just shy of 16hh and weighs around 1200lbs. I have raised this horse from a yearling. He’s spent the last four years doing all facets of ranch work on a 3000 head commercial cow/ calf ranch south of Mandan. He’s made big gathers in rough country, roped and tagged lots of calves each spring, drug calves at brandings, doctored cattle outside, ranch roped cattle indoors, sorted pairs in the open, sorted in the corrals. He is very friendly and easy to catch, ties, loads, hauls, and stands well to trim and shoe. He is an all day type horse. This horse is pretty athletic and has some feel to him. He would be best suited for an intermediate to experienced rider. He has a big big motor and in the right hands I think he could make a good barrel horse or head horse for somebody.
