Description:
We are looking for an experienced horsemen to help finish the hunting seasons this year. Oct 15th to Nov 15th or so...We are a packing outfit in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado. This job consists of long hours in the saddle as well as work on the ground loading pack stock and taking down tents. This is not a time clock job, some days easier than others and some start before dawn and end after dark. This is a physical job so if you have issues with your back or shoulders then this job is not for you. Lodging is a tent at 10000 ft with meals included. We work in the snow and mud so cold weather gear is a MUST. Packing experience is not mandatory, but extensive riding experience is. If you rode a horse a few times on your grandpa’s farm- that’s not going to cut it. We work as a team, everyone does whatever it takes to get the job done. Horseshoeing skills are a plus.
