If you are looking for that perfect pony for your kids or grandkids, one that is safe, gentle, extremely well broke, and with none of the typical pony habits, then Lyric is the one for you. He is one of the best ponies I have ever ridden, and he is so talented in so many different areas. Lyric has never offered to buck, rear, take off, bite, kick, or anything of the sort. He has been used on the ranch, ridden on trails, has been ridden and shown English, and he loves doing it all. Lyric is the perfect age at 10 years old, old enough to have a ton of miles and experience but young enough that his next family could raise several children on his back. He is 12 hh and really shapey for a little guy, with a good hip and a pretty head with a kind eye. Lyric has 4 black feet and can go shod or barefoot, and he is excellent for the farrier. He isn’t spooky, barn sour, buddy sour, or aggressive in the pasture with other horses. He has been roped off of lightly and will drag logs with no hesitation. Lyric is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He is laid back but responsive, and will never go any faster than you ask him to. He is good on both leads, has nice smooth gaits that are easy to sit to, a good stop and a decent handle. Lyric has been ridden English and has done plenty of shows, and the sights, sounds, and activity do not make him nervous. He rides just as quiet away from home as he does at home. The only thing he does not enjoy is jumping. He will do it if asked but it’s not his favorite thing to do. But he would make a sweet little playday horse, and is even gentle enough to do leadline with a little kiddo. Lyric can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Lyric has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, gets along great with other horses, will load in any type of trailer you ask him to, and saddles and bridles easily.
