Cow/calf/yearling operation seeking foreman in the Sandhills of Nebraska

Whitewater Inc. is currently seeking a foreman at the Sunny Side camp. This is a long term position. The current foreman has an opportunity to move back home and will be leaving the middle of June.

Whitewater Inc. is a long time family owned and operated cooperation. There are 2 divisions of this ranch which are only separated by a few miles. Each operates independent of each other but work together in the spring, summer and fall. Owner/operator/manager lives at the other camp site, Three Mile. We employ 4 full time cowboys and 1 part time man.

We are a horseback outfit. All work such as sorting, gathering, branding, prowling, doctoring and processing is done horseback. We do not do any farming. Nothing is planted or irrigated. However, we do put up hay in the summer and feed hay in the winter. Do understand; there is time in the tractor as well. We begin calving in March and do not tag calves. All cows are home raised as well as the yearlings. We do also run a small herd of mares. Each man is responsible for at least 3 company horses in his string. Duties include but are not limited to calving, doctoring, feeding, general maintenance of machinery and facilities, haying, cowboying, fencing, basic wind milling ect. All machinery is relatively new and in good operating condition. We do have overhead Welker cake bins and cakers for the trucks.

A CLEAN partially remodeled 4 bed 2 bath home is provided. All utilities, satellite TV, high speed internet, work cell phone, work truck and beef are provided. Salary will be discussed upon interview. NO pets or smoking in the house. If interested in this position please provide an up to date resume with 3 current references. We are seeking a married man, however not a married couple working team. This is a family friendly ranch.

We are a NO DRAMA outfit. We are upfront and honest people and will not tolerate anything less from employees as well. Please DO NOT apply if you are not capable of riding young horses, doctoring and roping calves/yearlings in the open, or are unwilling to be a part of a team.
