Description:
This is a handmade dog bone snaffle bit made by David Andrews from Laguna Park, Texas. He has been a full time maker for over thirty years and is listed in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The bit is marked Andrews on the dog bone and 45 on one bar. This is David’s version of a Klapper 45. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with nickel silver. The center rings do not show much wear so it has not been used a lot. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection from a very desirable maker.

Measurements: Cheek Pieces 6”, Mouth (between cheeks) 5 ¼”, Weight 17.1 ounces
