ARIZONA HIGH COUNTRY CATTLE RANCH has opportunity for long-term ranch hand/couple.

We are a family owned and operated cow/calf operation. We have a 25,000 acre forest service lease where the cattle are May - October. The remainder of the year they are located in Southern Arizona on our hay farm. The job entails working as a cowboy but also lots of fence work, maintaining the equipment and ranch house/grounds.



The ideal candidate must be an honest, reliable self-starter with a solid work ethic. Good communication skills including email and text a must. You must also have a valid driver’s license and willing to drug test on a random basis.



Skills and knowledge required: basic plumbing/electrical, carpentry, fencing, equipment operation and maintenance/repair, welding and operate a tractor. Experience with horses and cattle a must.



Duties include care of the ranch property including house, barn and out buildings; Grounds maintenance and landscaping; Feeding and watering livestock; Mending pasture fences, checking pasture gates.



Our working ranch is both cattle and horses from May thru November. This is a 7 day a week job during this period of time. The remainder of the year is more relaxed.



Compensation includes salary plus furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath barn apartment with satellite TV and internet, ranch truck, cell phone, computer, ½ beef a year, health insurance and vacation (during the fall and spring). You may have your own dog and horse.
