He is 12 yrs old, 14.2 hands , 1130 lbs, black footed, thick made like the ole timey quarter horses used to be, short and thick made and handy broke. He has all the cowboy manners a seasoned ranch gelding can possibly have. Super gentle with lots of ride and turnaround. He gets around in the rocks like a coyote sneaking upon a chicken. Rio hauls the best in our ranch trailers and backs out when told. Rio has drug lots of calves to the branding fires, sorted lots of cattle in the pens, and caught his fair share of wild cattle in the roughest country. He has never offered to act up in any way . Rides like any cowboy wants one to lowheaded and quiet , don’t booger at anything. He is easy to shoe vaccinate and worm. I have been cowboying over 40 yrs and I can tell you these excellent ranch geldings aren’t for sale very often.The only way I got him was the cowboy that owned him has some health problems and can’t ride anymore, had that not happened Rio would have never left that man. Rio has always had a good cowboy on his back. Rio is 100% sound and sane and has no blemishes. He is up to date on vaccinations, health papers, and shoeing. I believe Rio would make a heel horse quick! Most anyone can ride Rio that can ride a broke ranch gelding. Not interested in trades! Cash only!
