I purchased Roy from Steve Dopson of Lamesa Texas a few years back. Roy has been owned by Larry Holder who bred and raised him and Steve. Not only has Steve stood Roy has daughters at MA Quarter Horses, Holder Quarter Horses and CNR Quarter Horses all in Texas that are making exceptional broodmares.



When Steve Dopson owned him about 90% of his foals were sold to Oscar and Miguel Villegas of Mexico. With that being said not a lot of them are in America to show off their talents!He has never produced a sorrel foal and he is a VERY HIGH producer of roans and duns.

One of his colts crossed on a triple bred driftwood mare sold for $25,000 as a calf horse and a lot of them are turning into amazing team roping horses as well.



Roy is by far one of a kind. You can put him in with yearlings or geldings and he is just fine! He is a gentle giant and very easy to handle! He was kicked in the hock about 6 years ago before I bought him and blew is hock out! Lots of money, time and surgery’s were done to try and save him. Because of his injury Roy moves with a limp but has not issues covering mares at all, he has never missed a mare for me! I would be happy to discuss is injury more to approved home!
