We have approx. 1000+ head of cattle. We start calving in February with heifers and April with the cows. We use ATVS no horses. We work some long days during calving in sometimes not so good weather. We also have at the current time ALOT of snow so that makes our days longer too. We are looking for a non smoker who has some experience with tractors and or cows. It helps to have some kind of understanding of the industry. Although we have trained people that have had no experience at all it is nice to have some background Our community is small with a school and small grocery store. Most other things such as movies and Walmart you go 70 miles to Bismarck. Must like to live in a rural environment. NO cell phone service for the most part and cell phone must be left at home during working hours. We start calving in February and continue thru May. We tag each one of the calves, brand and give shots and sell the calves in October Nov depending on the markets. We use John Deere equiptment to put up approx. 5000 round bales of hay mixed and alfafa. We cut with a drive swather New Holland and hew Holland 116 pull behind swather we rake with hydraulic rakes and manual rakes and bale with a John Deere 567 balers (3). Our kids age 10,11 and 13 help us also with the ranching. You will be taught all the above and also bea able to pick out sick calves in a herd. All the above must be completed using care and concern for our equiptment and people running the equiptment. VALID DRIVERS lICENCE IS REQUIRED We only have housing for one couple and/or bunkhouse for single persons. Very nice living quarters. You must have reliable transportation. Background check by the local for criminal history we have kids that work with us Pay depending on experience house with internet phone and all utilities paid. Meat available beef and pork. Will hire a dependable and reliable person who sends 2 work references, 2 personal rferences, and a short synapsis on why you would be qualified to work with us.
