Description:
This is a new handmade heavy harness browband headstall with one handmade buckle. The headstall is made from heavy harness leather and the bit attaches with latigo tie strings. The edges are beveled and hand rubbed. It was made by a grumpy old cowboy from Happy, Texas. He has been building cowboy gear since the 1970’s. He does a really nice job. It is marked with his stamp. The cheek piece buckle was made by Robert Evans and is marked Evans. Robert is a bit and spur maker originally from Amarillo, Texas. His work is illustrated in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned & Jody Martin. Robert has been building bits, spurs, and cowboy hardware since 1994.The buckle is steel with a dark iron finish and is mounted with nickel silver card suits and is laced on the headstall. The throat latch buckle is stainless and is attached with a copper rivet.

Measurements: Headstall Length 38” to 44 ½”, Cheek Strap Width ¾”, Throat Latch Width ½”, Throat Latch Length 31 ½” to 41 ½”, Cheek Piece Leather Thickness a little less than ¼”, Leather Weight Approximately 11 to 12 ounce
