Description:
Hello,
My name is Luke, I am 25, single and looking for a cowboy job. I grew up on a small cow calf operation in Tabiona, Utah where my grandparents ran 200 pair. After I graduated high school I started working in the oilfield while helping out on the family ranch. Most recently I have been doing handy man work remodeling homes, building homes, and building other things that increase the value of houses. I am a skilled carpenter, good with plumbing, and know a little about electrical work. I have ran all different types of machinery from cranes to farm tractors and feel that I am proficient at doing so. I am a hard worker who takes pride in putting in a good days work in. I consider myself to be easy to get along with when working with others but can be sent out on my own trusting that I will do a good job. As cliche as it sounds, I am the type of person who "Rides for the Brand". I do understand that growing up on a smaller outfit that there are a lot of things that I don’t know. I also feel like one of my greatest attributes is that I have a strong desire to learn and am very teachable. While doing my carpentry work, I have realized how much I have missed working on the ranch. I have a passion for cows and horses and being a steward of the land and want to pursue ranching as a full time career. As stated before, there are a lot of things I need to learn and look forward to learning, but I promise my work ethic will be a benefit to any operation. The job I am seeking would be a cowboy job on a ranch where horses are used. I am not opposed to a little farm work but would prefer sticking to the horseback side of things, but also understand that maintaining and building fences is an important part of running any successful ranch. I am looking for an opportunity to develop my stockmanship, horsemanship, and being able to know how to best graze the land. I am not opposed to operations that do some colt starting and horse training for those are things I would like to increase my knowledge about as well along with the necessary cowboy skills of roping and etc. I would like to stick to the western states but will consider anywhere. I can provide a list of references and a resume upon request. You can email me at COWBOYLUKEJ@GMAIL.COM or (801)726-0424 I appreciate the time it has taken to go over this and look forward to hearing from you.
God Bless,
Luke
