Description:
This is a pair of used handmade steel spurs made by Roy Robinson from Bryan, Texas. Roy owned Roy Bits & Spurs and made top quality bits, spurs, and saddle hardware. Roy is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Mike & Gretchen Graham. We talked to Roy’s wife several years ago and she said Roy made a few steel bits and spurs but not very many. The majority of his bits and spurs are stainless. We have never seen a pair of his steel spurs. The spurs have a natural patina and new rowels. The new rowels are similar style and size to the original rowels. Both spurs are marked Roy on the outside of the heel bands. Both sides are shown in the photos. This would be a nice pair of spurs to wear or to add to a collection.
