Description:
This is a new handmade loose cheek bit with a flattened square port mouth piece made by David Hunt of Panhandle, Texas. It is marked Hunt and his brand and the number 230 on the port. David is a well-known bit and spur maker and has been building for over a decade. David is among the select group of spur makers to provide spurs for the Texas Style Bit and Spur Makers Association Woman’s Protective Services auction along with other top makers. The bit is steel with a gray iron finish and is mounted with nickel silver flowers and leaves with copper in the center of the flowers. This would be a nice bit to use.

Measurements: Mouth Piece (between collars) 5 ⅜”, Cheek Pieces 6”, Bars Diameter ⅜”, Port Height 1 ˝”, Bit Weight 14.1 ounces
