Description:
This is a used handmade saddle made by Marlin Horton when he was located in San Jon, New Mexico. He is now in Roswell. The saddle is numbered 022 and is dated 1-10-89. Mr. Horton operated a shop in Roswell, New Mexico for a number of years. It is maker marked on rear housing. The saddle has a cougar carved on the back of the cantle. It has basket stamped swells and skirts with slick out seat and fenders. The tree is sound. It has real sheep skin lining in good shape. The saddle has been thoroughly cleaned and conditioned and has new fenders, stirrup leathers, D hobbles, front rigging, and strings. It does not come with a front or rear cinch. This would be a good all round saddle for ranch work, roping, or trail riding.
