Description:
This is a new pair of handmade spur strap buckles made by well-known and highly collectible maker Kevin Burns. Kevin is from Stinnett, Texas and has been building spurs since 1983. Kevin won the 2008 Adolph Bayers Award and is listed in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned & Jody Martin. Kevin is self-taught and credits Jerry Cates for refining his talent. Kevin spent time with Mr. Cates in his shop learning the trade of bit and spur making and started making custom cowboy gear on a full time basis in the 1980’s. The buckles and keepers are steel mounted with engraved copper and nickel silver. There is wiggle engraving in the steel around the mountings.

Measurements: Buckle Strap Width ⅝”, Buckle Dimensions a little over 1 ½” x 1 ¾’
