Description:
This is a 10,000 acre private hunting operation oriented around native Bobwhite Quail, Whitetail Deer and Exotics. Like most outfits should be, the owners and guests come to this ranch to enjoy the pristine environment, service and quality that the employee team are able to create and sustain. The ranch is very busy during the hunting season with guests, but the off season is a 5 ½ day per week job as well because of the projects on the ranch. Maintenance and upkeep is very important and is evident as you see this ranch.



The purpose of this position is to be the sole trainer and keeper of the bird dogs and labs on this ranch. The details of the job include but are not limited to:



• Train and run bird dogs and labs year round to keep in shape

• Start and finish both bird dogs and labs

• Kennel maintenance and upkeep

• Monthly and Annual dog medication

• Field doctoring for snake bites or minor wounds

• Guide and run dogs for owners and guest for Bobwhite Quail

• Planting fall and spring food plots

• Discing hunting areas and roads

• Spraying brush

• Fence Work when necessary

• Manicure Pasture lands

• Brush and Invasive grass control

• Willing to help the team in other areas when needed



Qualifications:

The owner of this property has put this ranch together to provide a pristine, clean and neat ranching experience. The ranch is kept in immaculate shape and will expect to be kept in this shape. All of the equipment needed to take care of this ranch is in place and in great shape.



• Must have vast experience in training pointers and labs from pups to finishing

• Previous experience guiding quail hunts over dogs

• Previous experience operating tractors, discs and planting equipment

• Knowledge in dog up keep and medical situations

• Experience keeping kennels and up to 30 dogs daily

• Previous ranch work experience
