This is a job for a couple looking for ’a way of life’ We are not looking for a manager, but we do offer some unique opportunity to the right people. Please do not reply to this post if you are inexperienced and just want to ’experience’ the cowboy lifestyle. We run 1000 Angus mama cows plus yearlings and use and raise some good quarter horses. You may have seen our ad on this site several times------that is because we have been looking for the right ’match’ for a long time. We are a hard working family operation. Both my husband and I work outside and are involved in all aspects. We have several ranches and the job requires the willingness to travel to these different ranches. The housing provided is kind of ’in the middle’, so you throw horses in the trailer and travel north or south depending on the need. These are day trips, but sometimes require using the lights getting back!!!!!! We try to do all our work horseback, but we have been using some 4 wheelers lately out of necessity. IF we can find some good help, we would gladly go back to ALL horseback. I have some good young horses that are well started but need miles. I don’t want them loped in circles in an arena, because they are ready for a ’job’. I also have a couple of younger ones that are ready to be started. This is probably too much information, but I am trying to insure that I don’t get any ’Western Pleasure’ riders or those inexperienced with riding a horse outside when he is ready to go. Ideally it would be nice to have the husband for all general ranch work including fencing, working cattle, a little farming (tearing up old hay ground only), general maintenance. Welding, mechanics, and CDL a plus. The wife to work with horses and be able to help with working cattle and trailing etc.
