Implement ranch protocols and record administration. Main focus areas: Feedlot health, 2YO cow unit health/husbandry, stocker performance, cow/calf herds, horses, etc. Secondary Responsibility: Assist in all ranch operations i.e. feedlot, haying, etc while meeting all company performance goals. REQUIRMENTS •Must have 5+ years of beef cow production experience •Prefer 3+ years of operating farm or construction equipment. •Must have 3+ years of strong vet tech skills. •Must have a strong Animal Science background with hands on abilities. •Must be able identify animal problems and implement solutions individually. •Prefer someone with horsemanship skills and that can rope (all cattle handled horseback) but not required. Not looking for a cowboy. •Required to be able meet company specifications to maintain/construct all types of range fences, corrals, water systems and/or any cattle handling equipment or other equipment •Required to implement company protocols set by manager, veterinarian and/or nutritionist. •Required to manage records with Microsoft Office, feedlot software and other management software. •Must be able to handle daily physical demanding job tasks and lift 100 lbs. •Proven supervisory experience a plus. •Must have experience in being able to multitask and handle high production stress. •Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. •Required to carry a cell phone and be accessible to manager and team. Must be willing and able to text/email. Required to maintain an active land line in living quarters. •Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word and Excel are most important. •Must be familiar or be able to quickly learn Feedlot software, GPS systems and other management software. •A valid DL is required. CDL is a plus. •Must have strong references.
