Description:
Due to growth, Beef Northwest Feeders, a progressive cattle feedlot operation has created an Assistant Manager position available at its Boardman, Oregon location. Under the direction of the yard manager, the assistant manager will be responsible for the operation of a 15,000 head natural pasture finishing operation including ensuring all twelve employees are meeting production, efficiency and safety expectations.



The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:



• Experience with increasing responsibility handling cattle in a production setting.

• Ability to effectively lead people and ensure all feeding, animal health and maintenance expectations are being met.

• Knowledge of cattle feeding and basic nutrition principles.

• Learn feeding computer system, utilize word, excel and email

• Strong desire to grow in their cattle knowledge and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated problem solving & communication skills

• Willing to ask questions and ability to learn from your mistakes

• Passionate about the cattle industry

• High level of integrity and honesty

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
