SOLD*******Two new, old stock U.S. Cavalry bits. One is complete with original chain curb and marked 2 and U.S. also Y & T which I assume is the arsenal that it came from. The second one is also marked 2 and U.S. In addition it has 1914 on one end of the mouthpiece and R.I.A. (Rock Island Arsenal) on the opposite end. NS is stamped on the back of the left bar on the mouthpiece. I purchased these bits from an old “Country Hardware” store in 1969. The proprietor said these were the last two from a shipment he had received in the late “40’s” following WW II. They would be great authentic bits for Cavalry reenactment, as a historical conversational piece or as usable bits as they are. I have a slightly used U.S. curb chain that I will include for the second bit. $75.00 includes shipping to the lower 48. Please view my other listings.
