SOLD*****If you have been looking for a pair of outstanding spurs from a renowned maker, these could be for you. Made by the late R.F. Ford of Water Valley, Texas. Mr. Ford had the distinction of being the first individual to win the “Spur Maker of the Year” award in 1996. Not only was he a great maker, he was an outstanding silversmith and engraver as well. This pair is an excellent example of his expertise. Patterned after McChesney’s #68-2 “The John Wayne” with a slightly shorter shank makes a very eye appealing spur to collectors as well as horsemen. Maker marked R.F. Ford San Angelo TX. No. 1297. Measurements are 1 1/8” band, 1 ¾” shanks, 1 ¼” cloverleaf rowels, 3 ¼” heel opening. $1,275.00 includes very nice used spur leathers maker marked LIZ FORD plus free shipping in the lower 48.
