Description:
We are a family operated cow/calf ranch that is looking for a full time hand or foreman. A mechanic with interest in cattle would be considered as well. We do nearly all of our cattle work on ATVs, and much of our doctoring with a dart gun. This is not a "Cowboy" operation.

Job Duties include doctoring, feeding, calving, handling, and general care of cattle, haying, swathing, fencing (repair and build), spraying weeds from an ATV, maintenance and repair on multiple houses and outbuildings, repair and maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, and much more. Must be a self-starter, ambitious, and willing to work alone. We outsource very little, if it’s broke, we fix it. Trade skills such as carpentry, construction, plumbing, electrical, and engineering are a desired bonus. In person interview required and "local" applicants preferred.

Job Details:

500 head cow/calf pairs, 20,000 acres grazing, 600+ acres dryland hay. 60hrs/wk average, more in spring, less in winter. 200 upcoming first calf heifers for April 10th calving. Very nice, 3 bed/2 bath house about 1/3 mile from headquarters. Willing to pay up to $2500 for exceptionally qualified candidates. Housing, utilities, and beef provided as benefits. 25 minutes from town/school/stores.
