Mountain Grass Hay operation-

Located in a high mountain valley in southern Colorado operating at 8,000 feet.

Seeking Experienced full time hand for long term employment.

Duties expected:

Equipment up keep, equipment maintenance, hay harvest- operation, welding, barbed wire fence maintenance, field irrigation, pipe instillation and management, flood and sprinkler irrigation, basic cattle care for small commercial herd.

Winter duties include: snow removal and management, winter cattle feeding, water management, equipment overhauls and repair.

This is not a cowboying job- horses not required. Cattle experience preferred but not required, willing to train.



Owners are a family- Wife is manager, must be willing to work with/for a woman. Husband is physically disabled.



Benefits:

Salary $1700/month Depending on Experience

*The house is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house at about 9,000 feet with severe winter mountain living. Must be able to handle water in winter, use a wood burning stove for majority of heating. includes all appliances and an unlimited supply of wood.
