Description:
Montana cattle and horse ranch looking for experienced ranch hand. Duties will include checking, doctoring, moving cattle by horseback, sometimes in rough and remote areas, and sometimes alone. Applicant must be a self-starter and have the experience and skills necessary to recognize problems and be able to fix them. Ability to pasture rope is a plus.

Part of the job is starting and training the ranch’s young horses, and preparing them for sale. You will be riding or working with cattle/horses at least half of the time, so if you don’t enjoy that type of work this job isn’t for you. We have round pens, but expect most riding to be done outside as part of your working day. This is a full-time position, and can be on-going for the right person. The balance of your time will be spent on normal ranch jobs - fencing, moving hay, maintenance, etc.
