Description:
Montana cattle and horse ranch needs experienced ranch hand. Duties will include daily checking, doctoring, moving cattle by horseback, sometimes in rough and remote areas, and sometimes alone. Applicant must be a self-starter and have the experience and skills necessary to recognize problems and be able to fix them. Ability to pasture rope is required.

An important part of the job is starting and training the ranch’s young horses, and preparing them for sale. You will be riding or working with cattle/horses most of every day, so if you don’t enjoy that type of work this job isn’t for you. We have round pens and an indoor barn for when the weather is bad, but expect most riding to be done outside as part of your working day. This is a full-time position, and can be on-going for the right person. We raise enough colts to keep one person busy year round.
