My wife and I have an opportunity for the right person or person(s).



Age and health have caused us decide to contract the right party to help us and ultimately assume operation of one or both properties.



Qualifications require combination of experience and desire to succeed, combined with knowledge of current farming practices, animal husbandry, livestock care, mechanical aptitude and operation of farm machinery.



Our family farm is fairly remote, located in Lincoln County 15 miles south of Carrizozo, NM. The farm is 80 irrigated acres with 250 acre feet of water rights having 20 acres in mature Pecan Orchard. An additional 3,000 acres are leased with 267 acre feet of water rights that can be farmed and ranched.



Our farm is equipped for growing and harvesting Pecans, pasture and forage including hay baling and row crops. We also have backhoe, dump truck, flatbed truck, gooseneck trailer and skid-steer. Currently livestock consist of beef cattle, meat goats and chickens.



Compensation is somewhat flexible. Ideally, selected candidates would be a family unit, live on the farm and most of their income would be derived from profit sharing. Final goal is to transfer part or all ownership.
