Description:
This is a pair of lightly used handmade shot gun chaps made by the legendary saddle maker Bob Marrs of Amarillo, Texas. Bob has been featured in many publications including Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Gretchen and Mike Graham. There was also an article about him in the March 2010 issue of Western Horseman. They are marked Bob Marrs, Stockman’s Saddlery, and Amarillo Texas on the belt. The body of the chaps is made out of about 4 to 4 ˝ ounce brown colored chap leather rough side out and they are trimmed in the same leather rough side out. The yokes are triple thick. They have heavy duty YKK brass zippers, two inside pockets, brass grommets at the front tie, reinforced thighs, and a nickel buckle. The condition of the chaps is very good. There are no holes or tears in the leather, no loose stitching, belt is in good condition, and the zippers both work. This would be a nice pair of chaps to wear from a highly collectible and respected maker.
