Description:
This is a pair of used handmade shot gun bell chaps made by Wes Klein from Canadian, Texas. Wes is a part time maker who has cowboyed on various ranches and builds cowboy gear. They are not maker marked. The chaps are made out of lighter weight leather about 4 to 4 ½ ounce tan colored chap leather rough side out and are trimmed with cream chap leather smooth side out. They are buckstitched with latigo lace leather. They have a heavy harness leather belt, two stainless conchos, stainless belt buckle, nickel plated steel tie ring, and YKK brass zippers. There are marks and stains from use but no holes or tears in the leather. This would be a nice pair of using chaps.
