Description:
Flood Farm is hiring a live-in personal assistant with horse riding experience. A total of three hours a day of work is split between farm chores and online marketing administering. Farm chores can be done either in the morning (9am) or evening (8pm) and should take less than two hours. The remaining ten or less hours will be work performed on your computer and sometimes on other chores such as grocery shopping, running errands in town, handling, socializing and training our German Shepherd puppies, etc. Three hours a day is in exchange for room and board and we may offer a monthly stipend depending on qualification.

Seriously considered applicants will have a criminal background check processed.

We are looking for a self-starter that can manage work efficiently without having to be supervised. This person should be articulate and possess strong writing skills. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is interested in natural horsemanship. We use Parelli Natural Horsemanship with our horses and would prefer to have someone who is knowledgeable or interested in learning and practicing these methods. We are also looking for someone to help exercise our three horses regularly on the beach.

Our community theater group will be producing "Cinderella" this coming spring/summer. Starting in April, there will be an opportunity to volunteer with work onstage and off, if you have the desire and interest to be involved.

Prior online marketing experience is a plus, but not necessary. You will learn online marketing strategies as you work. Applicants should be familiar with social media apps such as Google Plus, Facebook, and Wordpress. This job is perfect for someone who wants to enjoy the splendors that our farm provides and can manage their time effectively and take the initiative to complete tasks as needed.

If you are interested in additional income while you are here there are several local jobs advertised through Chinook Observer. I also have some random jobs that I am willing to pay you for, if interested (cleaning, computer work, miscellaneous farm and yard work).

Farm Chores description:

Chores consist of milking one cow, feeding and taking care of 3 horses, feeding calves and beef cattle, feeding dogs, and caring for several ducks and cats. I also breed German Shepherd puppies and have 4 dogs of my own. I generally have about 3 litters a year and do extensive training and socialization with the puppies before they leave which is very time consuming. Chores and a few hours of other work per day would be part of a trade for room and board.

Marketing description:

Create daily posts on all social media outlets and perform optimization (SEO) tasks led by our marketing director.

Other duties include responding to emails, inquiries, and questions daily. In addition to communicating with clients, organizing of their visits, phone calls, and business documents.

As a part of your application, please attach your resume with a current photo and answer these questions in the body of the e-mail.

We look forward to hearing your responses!

The Flood Farm Family
