The IX Ranch Co. is currently looking to fill a Manager in Training postion. Start date of November 1 to December 1, 2014.



Our Manager in Training Program is as follows:



The IX Ranch was established in 1955 and is a third generation family corporation. One of the ranch’s main goals is to be multi generational. In order to attain this goal, we are actively seeking young men and women (single, married or couples) who are looking to become more than just ranch employees, but ranch managers.



Becoming a great ranch manager takes more than 2-4 year college diploma or an MBA. It takes long hours, hard work and a willingness to learn ALL aspects of the ranching operation. Other programs attempt to teach you how to become a ranch manager through the classroom or by shadowing other ranch managers. Our philosophy is to develop ranch managers through ACTION. Although some may reach the level of management necessary to run a successful ranching operation sooner than others, our experience has shown that you will have only touched the tip of the iceberg by completing two ranch operation cycles.



After years of experience in labor management, we have developed a program that fits the needs of young professionals seeking a career in agriculture management. Our program is simple. Spend two years with us learning all there is to know about the intricacies of running a profitable ranching operation and at the end, you can be assured placement within our operation, or we will provide you the assistance necessary to relocate to another agriculture operation.



Members of our operation have served outside the ranch on many different levels. They are active locally and nationally and have connections throughout the agriculture community. Key managers have been on the ranch over 20 years and have experienced good times and bad. It is this experience and industry knowledge we can to pass along to you that will make you an asset to whomever you work for.
