Description:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced hands-on Horse Care Provider who can also perform Ranch Hand services at a private residence in Monterey County, California.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Grooming and feeding 2 or more horses

• Maintaining horse records, equipment, supplies, and facilities

• Mucking stalls, turnout rotation, tack cleaning

• Veterinary care management and maintenance

• Cleaning and maintaining corrals

• Cleaning horse trailers

• General ranch maintenance such as mowing, weed/brush removal, tractor operation, irrigation

• Equipment maintenance and cleaning

• Fence repair and maintenance

• Other duties as assigned



Qualified applicant will have well-rounded experience in all facets of horse care, including equine nutritional needs, observations, and ability to make appropriate adjustments as needed; and well-rounded experience in basic facets of ranch maintenance. A degree in equine management, horse care, or equine studies; a groom’s certificate, horse care certificate, or riding certificate; and ability to ride western style is highly desirable. Applicant must possess the highest level of honesty and integrity. No tobacco, illegal drugs, or alcohol allowed. Pre-employment background investigation required. Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English required. This is a full-time position and eligible for housing and benefits after completion of introductory period. Required schedule includes weekends. Hourly wage will be based on demonstrated experience and skill level.
